Peter Frey from Recom Engineering, an Australian owned and operated compressor remanufacturer, have been testing and analyzing hydrocarbon refrigerants in compressors and systems for a number of years.  From his experience Peter said “We are pleased for Hydro Carbons to be used in all types of remanufactured compressors, with a lower discharge pressure and temperature, the compressor does not have to work as hard which is good for the system as well as decreased running costs. ” Recom recommends that all companies who intend to use HC refrigerants attend the training course offered by the College of Climate Change and Oz-Chill on a national basis.
