Systemair’s acquisitions

In November this year the Swedish air handling and air systems manufacturer Systemair AB acquired International Air Conditioning Products Pvt. Ltd. (IAPL) of New Delhi, India. The object is to coordinate and expand Systemair’s existing operations in India and to build an R&D center at the site. IAPL specializes in air handling units and has a current turnover of SEK 55 million. In January 2012 Systemair is scheduled to complete the takeover of the chiller manufacturing facility of Airwell in Barlassina (Italy) which produces a range of air- and water-cooled units from 20 to 1,200 kW. Current turnover is around £20 million with a workforce of 155. This adds to Systemair’s takeover earlier this year of a Russian distributor Ventrade (details were reported in this column in July 2011).
