Automotive Air Conditioning Training (AUR20212)

This qualification covers the skills and knowledge required to perform a range of tasks related to servicing and repairing air conditioning components and systems of cars and heavy vehicles within an automotive service and repair business.

This course includes the RPL process in order to reduce the course duration.

The Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning Technology is intended to prepare new employees or recognise and develop existing workers who are performing servicing and repair of air conditioning components/systems of vehicles in an automotive service or repair business.

Job roles related to this qualification include:

Application

This qualification is typically used to develop employees or recognise and develop existing workers who are performing vehicle service and repair functions in an automotive environment.

They would be expected to perform a range of mechanical operations involving known routines, methods and procedures and take some accountability for the quality of outcomes.

This qualification is suitable for an Australian Apprenticeship pathway.

Additional Hydrocarbon Refrigerants Bonus

This course will also cover a Hydrocarbon module.  As the use of hydrocarbon refrigerants are rapidly increasing in the automotive industry, it is important that their is training and information available.

This extra module is also available for those who already have their Certificate II but are requiring hydrocarbon refrigerants training.

 Accreditation and Outcome

This course is government accredited and has national recognition.  On successful completion of this course and the RPL process you will be issued with the required Certificate II in Automotive Air Conditioning which is needed to complete your application for the ARCtick National Refrigerant Handling License.   http://www.arctick.org/online_services.php
